Erika Galapir

Erika Galapir is Program Coordinator for the T. Denny Sanford Institute for Empathy and Compassion (TDSIEC). She works collaboratively with faculty and staff amongst the institute and its six centers to provide program coordination support on a variety of efforts. Prior to joining the TDSIEC, Erika joined UC San Diego in 2017 as an Administrative Coordinator for the Department of Pediatrics. She is an accomplished admin with over a decade of experience in both nonprofit and for-profit organizations.

As the administrative world is ever-changing, Erika has maintained her skills through various trainings, including a UC San Diego certificate in Research Administration. She prides herself in using her developed skills to contribute to the success of the Sanford Institute.   

Erika is inspired daily by her husband and two daughters. In her free time, she enjoys baking and traveling; ask about her latest dessert. As of late, she and her family have been taking advantage of the local area and have become tourists in their own city.
